When to inspect

Inspect work equipment after installation or relocation, at regular intervals based on use and risk, and after anything that could affect safety, such as damage, modification or long periods out of use. Keep inspection records until at least the next inspection.

Lifting equipment is different

Lifting equipment also falls under LOLER and needs thorough examination by a competent person. Power presses also have their own specific requirements. This checklist doesn't replace either.
