- Get the latest safety data sheet and identify the product and supplier.
- Describe exactly how the substance is used and how people could be exposed.
- Choose controls for the actual task, including substitution, engineering measures and suitable PPE.
- Record storage, disposal, first aid, spill response and any health surveillance needs.
- Complete an assessment per substance or process and review it when the substance, task or people change.
