Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register
An editable register for identifying environmental aspects, scoring their impacts and tracking significant risks and controls.
Prepared by Morgan Compliance Group · Published 23 October 2026 · Updated 23 October 2026
Who it's for
Environmental managers, site teams and organisations preparing for ISO 14001 or environmental accreditation assessments.
How to complete it
- List each activity, the way it interacts with the environment and the resulting impact.
- Record whether the condition is normal, abnormal or an emergency and identify relevant obligations.
- Score severity and likelihood from 1 to 5. The workbook calculates the total automatically.
- Set your significance threshold on Settings and apply it consistently across the register.
- Record appropriate controls, a responsible owner and review dates, then revisit the register when activities change.
An environmental aspect is something your activities do that can interact with the environment. An impact is the resulting change. Considering normal, abnormal and emergency conditions and applying a consistent significance method is central to ISO 14001 and the environmental parts of CHAS Elite and Constructionline Gold.
